Gut-friendly comfort foods

What do you think of when you hear the words "comfort food"? Probably mac & cheese, mashed potatoes, cookie dough ice cream, cheesy pizza etc. Right? While that may be what you crave, these foods won't comfort you very long; in fact, they may even bog down your digestion and dampen your mood! Real comfort foods are nutritious, nurturing, wholesome and satisfying. According to Ayurveda, yoga’s sister science focused on health & wellbeing, they should also be intelligent, and balance the mind and body.
