Deliciously spiced but not spicy, Kitchari (also known as khichdi, khichuri or kedgeree) is the plant-based “chicken soup” of India & its ancient health system: Ayurveda. While many eat it for gut repair, rejuvenation, detox and spiritual growth, it’s also enjoyed as an easy everyday meal that’s yummy & nutritious. Endlessly versatile and customizable, eating it feels like a hug in a bowl — each & every time.
Kitchari is the perfect option for lunch and dinner (or even breakfast!) and is well-suited for all Ayurvedic Mind-Body Types (doshas)

Eco friendly pack & delivery service
We send your orders via a carbon-neutral delivery service and package our Kitchari in 100% compostable plant-based pouches that are safe for home composting. Simply sepaprate the pouch from its paper bag topper, throw the bag topper in your recyclables and compost the pouch. If you don’t compost, it’s better to throw it out with your trash vs. with other recyclables. Compostable products can disrupt the recycling process but when they are placed in an open landfill where oxygen is available, they will decompose at a rate similar to other biodegradable materials in the same setting.

Absolutely Delicious and Intriguing!!
All I can say is wow- when I read the description before I purchased, I knew this was going to be a new favorite as I spotted some unusual ingredients,. They all come together for an amazing side dish and combined with so many other veggies ( or whatever you prefer) Love that its free from allergens. Don’t miss out on this new combo of grains and dal.

Delicious & Efficient
I've been following Ayurveda for years, thus am a frequent consumer of Kitchari. This brew is as good as my own, and a welcome addition to my kitchen for those days when there is little time to cook. I've also figured out how to make it in the Zojirushi rice cooker: Quick Cook (30 minutes), 2 1/2 C. water, Yoom. I add carrots & sweet potato at the start, add zucchini and greens 20 minutes in. Easy, tasty, hands-free. My digestion thanks me, and I thank Yoom.

Great with anything
Great mix of a healthy and tasty addition to any meal. I added carrots and spinach and love it..

Delicious & soothing
I grew up eating kitchari at home. My Mom would make it whenever we were not well or someone’s digestion was off. I hadn’t had it for years and tried Yoom’s recently and absolutely love it. It feels like home and is so easy to digest. The mix of spices is really good. Will be repurchasing.
