5 ways to reset your body & mind

Alexia G. Studio

It's surprisingly difficult to bounce back from a celebratory weekend or a few days of over indulging. We know! That’s why we’ve put together Ayurveda’s best tips for resetting your gut and getting your eating habits back on track while feeling satiated and well-nourished.

  1. Start your day with warm lemon water: it flushes out the digestive system and gets rid of any lingering matter from the days before.

  2. Sip on CCF detox tea (or herbal teas like Ginger or Tulsi throughout the day). CCF Tea is a staple in many Ayurvedic cleansing facilities because of its ability to encourage the body to break down toxins in the digestive tract and encourage a subtle detoxification.

  3. Eat easy-to-digest foods: Scroll below for gut-friendly, tasty yet light recipes! The rockstar dish here is the Cleansing Kitchari… Eat it for lunch and dinner a few times this week. Kitchari is the perfect meal to reset your body and bring your eating habits back into balance. Made with basmati rice, cleansing & protein-packed split mung beans and healing spices, it detoxifies the digestive system and helps you restore energy and mind clarity.

  4. Dry brush to get the lymph moving and help it do its job which is to drain fat deposits and toxins that have accumulated in the body.

  5. Workout vigorously — without punishing yourself! In the next day or two, amp up your workout intensity so you can sweat the cheat days out of your system without going over board. We all have cheat days, so instead of using the next workouts as ‘punishment’, use them to get back into your body and connect with what it needs. Read Which workout is right for you?
