Indulging, guilt-free

I’m not advocating that you indulge on junk food on a regular basis (or ever, for that matter!) but if you do, you should try to do so in the most relaxed state possible rather than feeling guilty about it. ⁣

WHY GUILT-FREE INDULGENCE IS HEALTHIER FOR YOU

Because when you’re tense or emotionally triggered, your nervous system is in fight-or-flight mode (when survival vs. digestion is the body’s priority), not rest-and-digest mode... making it harder for your body to digest food properly. So guilting out about eating a donut or having that 3rd cup of coffee will only make it harder for your system to digest it and will leave you feeling sluggish and bugged down. ⁣⁣
