ABOUT US
Yoom is a weekly newsletter dedicated to helping you design living spaces for wellbeing.
We spend around 90% of our time indoors* yet most of us don’t intentionally design our living spaces for our wellness goals. Therefore, underutilizing a major daily source of wellbeing. When it comes to wellness, we usually focus on improving ourselves — like watching our diet, working out, taking supplements, and getting enough rest. But what’s often overlooked is the impact our living spaces have on our mental and physical wellbeing. We are much more sensitive to our daily surroundings than we think – for example, studies show that working by a window increases productivity, reducing nightstand clutter unlocks deeper sleep and eating from blue plates can make you eat less!
Collectively, we must shake up our thinking: mindfully-designed homes are as important as immunizations, as beneficial as prescriptions and far more important than Fitbits. At Yoom, we believe in harnessing the power of living spaces to shape your wellbeing. Through thoughtful design choices like eating from blue plates to suppress appetite and lighting that aligns with the body’s circadian rhythm, we help you design a home that fosters mind-body transformation, effortlessly.
Yoom is a weekly newsletter dedicated to sharing mindful homedecor hacks for managing your weight, uplifting your mood, enhancing your sleep, boosting gut health, sharpening your focus, and more. It’s wellness by design, if you will.

OUR PHILOSOPHY
DESIGN FOR WELLBEING
Your daily surroundings are a major underutilized source for wellbeing. Here’s how…
MEET FRANCE
As a product designer, turned yoga teacher & Ayurveda student, I’ve long understood that our daily surroundings are not just a backdrop to our lives but they hold the power to shape our health & wellbeing.
Brooklyn & Paris-based product designer turned yoga teacher, Ayurveda student and food blogger, France Brunel is the founder and CEO of interior design studio & editorial platform — Yoom. Known for her distinctive approach that spans both holistic wellness and design, France has built a lifestyle brand and thriving community that celebrates mindful living.
In her earlier years as a product designer, France discovered the profound influence of design on wellbeing. Graduating from Rhode Island School of Design and building unique expertise during her roles in various design agencies, she recognized that deliberate choices in colors, shapes, materials, and textures had the ability to not only shape the physical environment but also nurture the mind, body, and heart of those inhabiting that space. Subsequently, her yoga teacher training and schooling of Ayurveda infused her with a holistic perspective on well-being. Today, she draws from the wisdom of these two disciplines —one focused on inner harmony, the other on outer harmony—to curate a weekly newsletter that empowers you with guidance for designing daily surroundings that effortlessly promote wellness in every aspect of your life.
Through her design, styling, and writing, France is shifting the cultural landscape of wellness and design — revealing a rich source of overall wellbeing where the two fields intersect.
Born in France—yes, she’s named after her own country—France grew up and lived in Hong Kong and the U.S., with quick stops in Italy and India, before settling down in New York City in 2006. She now splits her time between Paris and Greenpoint, Brooklyn.
