Non-alc beer braised chicken
This Yoom recipe is a true crowd pleaser. It's extremely easy to make (we make this for large group dinner on week nights all the time) and delicious. Braised in non-alcoholic beer, the onions, raisins and chicken skin get caramelized and crunchy while the meat stays tender on the inside. Rich in protein and healthy fats, chicken is a grounding and nourishing meat for Air and Fire types.

Serves 6 l Difficulty: very easy l Prep time: 15min l Total time: 1h15
Ingredients
8 chicken thighs and wings with skin
2 large onions
3/4 cups raisins
10 bay leaves
2 cans of blond, non-alcoholic beer
Mineral salt and pepper
Steps
Preheat the oven at 450F (230C).
Peel and cut onions in thin slices & lay them at the bottom of a baking dish, big enough to hold 8 chicken pieces.
Cover onions with raisins and bay leaves.
Lay out the chicken pieces into the dish, skin side on top.
Season with salt and pepper and pour the beer over the chicken pieces, so they are almost covered entirely. If you run out of beer, it's totally fine if the chicken isn't fully covered.
Place in the oven for 20-30 minutes, then turn chicken pieces around for another 20-30 minutes. When turning, make sure you spoon sauce on top of the chicken pieces to keep them moist as they cook.
Braise until chicken is golden, onions and raisins are caramelized and there is almost no beer left at the bottom of your dish.
Serve with quinoa or couscous grain.
