When did poop become a second class citizen? As babies, our parents obsess about how well we slept, how much we ate and… how much we pooped. Everyday, they exchange about quantity, texture, color, you get it!⁣⁣
⁣⁣
But when we grow up, everything changes and poop no longer holds an important status… we keep our poop private, we hide any issues we might have in that domain (even from our doctors!), and it’s considered crude to talk about it.⁣⁣

POOP HAS AN OUTCAST STATUS IN THE ADULt’s life

Poop has gotten an outcast status in every adult's life although it still remains just as important to our health as it was when we were babies. Hiding, and worst of all, disregarding any issues we might have with it is actually detrimental to our overall wellbeing. The crazy thing is that most people do suffer from some sort of trouble with their bowel movements! Yes, including me 😂 ⁣⁣

WHY SHOULD WE CARE?

Because our poop is the byproduct of our digestion, it is our report card onto our digestive tract and our overall health. A banana-shaped bowel movement every single day means that our digestive tract is able to properly do both: extract the nutrients from the foods we eat and expel the waste away from the body. That’s important because how well we digest dictates the quality of our blood and the health of our organs.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Rabbit pellet bowel movements means the body is not expelling its waste, but retaining to the toxins it no longer needs = No bueno. Runny poop means we’re most likely not absorbing nutrients and losing electrolytes and minerals = No bueno either.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
That’s why everyone should start giving a sh*t about their poop and start taking a look at what it looks like and how often it happens.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
This is the first post of a Poop Series, so stay tuned for loads more tips on how to actually decode our poop and how to rebalance issues we might have... coming in the next few weeks! 💩
