What to expect with a Kitchari cleanse

WHAT TO EXPECT

  1. This 3-day cleanse is generally safe for all Mind & Body Types and their imbalances. Keep in mind that any cleanse can be physically tiring and emotionally taxing due to the detoxifying nature of the process, especially if you have an extremely stressful lifestyle.

  2. Depending on your current diet, eating a monodiet could cause mild constipation during the cleanse. If your bowel movements slow down or if stool becomes difficult to pass, drink licorice tea, add trace mineral drops to your water and take the following herbal supplements (FOR ALL except for AIR types). If none of these work, try salt enemas or soaked prunes. Proper elimination during a cleanse is critical to the detox process so take something as soon as you notice a change.

  3. This is a very gentle cleanse, as cleanses go, so you will most likely not find yourself experiencing discomfort. Having said that, you could still experience physical or emotional ups and downs, headaches, body aches, fatigue, irritability. These are all normal, make sure you sleep & hydrate loads.
